Stakeholders felicitates Council Chairmen at Birthday

The leadership of Obubra Main Town Development Association, Worldwide has described the Chairman of Obubra, Hon Kingsley Arikpo as a divine vessel for transformation of the entire Council area.

 President of the global Association, Prof. Boniface Ago made the commendation in a goodwill message to the Chairman, Hon Arikpo on his birthday of June 12, 2025.

Prof. Ago, who is also Deputy Dean, Faculty of Clinical Sciences in the College of Medical sciences, University of Calabar, remarked that the Chairman’s birthday in Obubra is unique, especially as the day is marked with landmark achievements that evoke dramatic changes in the Council area within a space of six months in office as Chairman.

He further intimated that, the Association is highly impressed and on course to identify with the policies and programmes of his administration that yielded unprecedented giant strides.

Speaking in the same vein, during a virtual online session of the forum, a Lagos based Consultant and Magnate in the Oil and Gas Sector, Engr. Cletus Agah Bassey, commended the Council Chairman Hon Arikpo, for marking his birthday with admirable and significant feat that place him shoulder high among his contemporaries at the helm of grassroot administration in the state.

Engr Bassey, who is a trustee of the apex body, lauded the Council Chairman for carving a niche for himself in his firm grip of the security situation which posed threats that confronted his administration from inception.

The oil magnate urged Hon Arikpo to sustain the tempo of nipping in the bud, all security challenges by dangling the sledge hammer on the perpetrators.

Other speakers at the meeting, including the Zonal Service Manager of First City Monument Bank (FCMB) for Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Rivers, Dr Sam Oboh and a Chief Superintendent of Nigerian Correctional Service, James Uji, (Rtd), assured Arikpo of the group’s weight behind his administration. 

Applauding the blissful birthday celebration which coincides with Nigeria’s Democracy Day, the group called on both the Legislature and members of his Executive Committee to work in synergy for the overall development of Obubra and wishing the “Apollo” led government the wherewithal to steer the ship of Obubra to the desired destination.
