The Commissioner for Sports Development, Hon. Agnes Atsu, has felicitated with Rovers Football Club in their camp as well as the technical crew.
The visit is to encourage them to remain united and committed to their job as professional football players.
According to her, “my visit to the players and technical crew is an engaging experience to help the new administration understand the critical areas that requires attention”.
Hon. Atsu charged them to remain focused as they are established great men determined to conquer, despite all odds.

She urged the players to realize that their determination and zeal to make the team work is the sacrifice required from them by the state, assuring them of government’s determination to support them.
Earlier, “the players who were filled with joy for the visit thanked her for showing them the motherly care and being the first Commissioner to visit them, adding that “her visit to the camp was an indication that the government is ready to look into their matters”.
They applauded Governor Bassey Otu for the choice of Hon. Agnes Atsu as Commissioner for sports.

Speaking during the visit, the Chairman of the team, Ebam Ejen, the Coach, Mr. Sampson Unuane, and the Captain, Mr Asuquo Inyang appealed to the state government to look into their plight as the team was ready to reciprocate by their hard work, focus and trust.
He promised to take the club to the Premier League in no time. They further revealed that the team was made up of goal-getters with positive minds and ready to deliver success.
